Acer x freemanii ‘Autumn Blaze’ | Freeman Maple

The Acer x freemanii 'Autumn Blaze' is a magnificent cultivar from a naturally formed hybrid between the Acer rubrum and the Acer saccharinum. It has the hardiness and resilience of the Silver Maple and the fiery autumn colouring of the Red Maple. This combination has created the best maple in the UK for autumn colour. It is a medium-sized, deciduous tree with a broadly oval crown. The five-lobed leaves that have red stalks appear a yellow and green in spring, turn green during summer and a stunning fiery-red, orange and yellow in autumn. The Acer x freemanii 'Autumn Blaze' will thrive in most well-drained soil, in full sun or partial shade. This ornamental tree will make a perfect statement in any location.
