Cornus kousa Chinensis l Chinese Dogwood
The Cornus kousa Chinensis is a small deciduous tree or large shrub which grows slowly up to approximately 7m high. It has an upright habit which widens with age; and has oval, pointed dark green leaves with wavy margins which give a stunning display of orange and red autumn colour. This Cornus is best known for it's beautiful display of large creamy white flower bracts which appear in May and June, these are followed by red strawberry like fruits. The Cornus kousa Chinensis will mature into an eye catching specimen tree and will thrive best in well drained neutral to acid soil in full sun or partial shade.
