Prunus ‘Accolade’ I Flowering Cherry Accolade
This small ornamental cherry is a hybrid between Prunus sargentii and Prunus x subhirtella and combines the best features of each varieties. It is one of the first cherries to come into flower in April with clusters of large semi-double pink flowers. The leaves are small and dark green, and give a vibrant display of orange/red and yellow in the autumn thanks it's Prunus sargentii parentage. The Prunus 'Accolade' is a hardy tree that will grow in most well drained soils it will tolerate pollution and loves a sunny location. This beautiful ornamental cherry with its irregular, rounded, spreading habit is a joy to see as it bursts into flower in early spring.
