Prunus ‘Tai-Haku’ | Great White Cherry

The Prunus 'Tai-Haku' is a beautiful, ancient variety of flowering cherry from Japan. This is a medium-sized tree that, with maturity develops a majestic form with a broad, spreading crown. Mid-April this tree gives the most amazing display of large, pure white, single flowers. Spectacular blossom makes the Prunus 'Tai-Haku' one of the best flowering cherries. Young bronzed-green leaves emerge at the same time as the flowers. Leaves are a lovey bright green in summer then an eye-catching orange and gold in autumn. This Cherry will grow in most well-drained soil. The Prunus 'Tai-Haku' will tolerate urban pollution and performs best in full sun. This tree is ideal for avenue planting, and as a single specimen.
